Hi! I’m Laura.

I’m a wine student, enthusiast, and educator! I am a Certified Specialist in Wine, a Spanish and Italian Wine Scholar, and WSET 3 certified. I want to share my passion for wine with you and help you along your journey.

Every great bottle of wine has a story: From the beautiful vineyard where the grapes were grown, to the struggles and dedication of the winemaker, or the special occasion that it is being opened and enjoyed for – I’m ready to listen to them and I hope you are too!

These stories have brought me joy and deeper appreciation for the history and labors of love that have gone into my glass. I would love to help you get acquainted with the fundamental international grape varieties, discover extraordinary wine regions around the world, or dive into different wine-making practices.

Being a wine consumer in Utah isn’t always easy, and I’m happy to help local wine enthusiasts navigate the “limitations” of our state while supporting small producers and our local wine brokers, educators, and producers.

A little more about me…

I am an avid outdoor enthusiast and you can frequently find me trail running, skiing, backpacking, or peak-bagging in Utah’s Wasatch mountain range. I love incorporating nature and adventure into my wine experiences! I am an animal lover (We have 3 vizslas and a calico cat), and a gardener. My incredible husband Dan serves in the US Army, and my daughter Lucy is the spunkiest and silliest girl I know!

I love traveling and have been fortunate enough to visit many beautiful wine regions, and am eager to see them all! There is no better way to truly appreciate a glass of wine than in the vineyards where the grapes were grown!
